Room 6 – Sandra Murray

Sandra trained as a Primary School Teacher, receiving her B. Ed from Carysfort College, Blackrock. After thirteen years as a Mainstream Teacher, she completed a Post-Graduate course in St. Patrick’s, Drumcondra (now DCU) in Remedial Education.

Sandra has a passion for teaching; her favourite thing is to teach children to read- it is so rewarding!

Many pupils come to St. Oliver Plunkett N.S. feeling unhappy in themselves and lacking the basic skills of reading and writing. It is her great love to welcome these pupils and their parents, and to work together to bring about a new reality: security and happiness in an organised, respectful, calm environment, and a strong sense of success and pride in the achievement of new skills in reading and writing.

I’m Liz. I am the SNA in room 6 this year. I joined St. Oliver Plunkett N.S. 13 years ago. I also run the school library and love to see the children flourish.
