At St Oliver Plunkett NS we want to ensure that children make the most progress they can with their reading during their time here. As part of this, we work closely in partnership with parents to make sure children are reading each night. As part of your childs homework they will be asked to :
Read assigned pages of a book each night
Practice reading assigned words from word bags
Read a book of their choice for 10 minutes every night of the week.
Practice reading sight words
Homework needs to be check and signed by parents each night.
Please note math homework will be issued by you child’s math teacher.
Homework should not last more than 45 minutes!
